Almeida Junior won two trophies at the 2025 Abrasce Award, the most important award in the sector in the country. The case “Uma Noite no Garten” from Garten Shopping was recognized in the Events and Promotions category. Meanwhile, the “Circuito de Mídia LED Almeida Junior” case was recognized in the Innovation category, reinforcing the company’s innovation DNA.
Recognized by ADVB/SC, Almeida Junior was the winner in the “Retail/Commerce” category of the 2025 Top de Marketing e Vendas Award. This achievement celebrates the excellence of its market strategies and the company’s ability to transform retail in Santa Catarina.
Two shopping centers from the network were elected the most recalled brands by Santa Catarina residents in the 2025 NSC Top of Mind. Neumarkt Shopping won as “Shopping Center of the Vale do Itajaí” for the 26th consecutive time, and Nações Shopping secured the “Shopping Center of the South” category for the 5th consecutive year.
The company received the Prêmio Ser Humano, granted by ABRH-SC, which recognizes the best practices in people management and human development. The award reinforces Almeida Junior’s commitment to valuing its employees and promoting an excellent work environment.
Almeida Junior was recognized by the 2024 Líderes Santa Catarina Award in the ‘Governance’ category. Promoted by the Santa Catarina Leaders Group – LIDE SC, the award recognizes Santa Catarina companies and entrepreneurs who stood out in the market through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Two Almeida Junior shopping centers are among the winners of the 2024 Top of Mind, promoted by the NSC group: Neumarkt Shopping, in Blumenau, won in the ‘Vale do Itajaí Shopping Center’ category, and Nações Shopping, in Criciúma, won in the ‘Shopping Center of the South’ category.
Almeida Junior won gold in the ‘Christmas Campaigns’ category of the 2024 Abrasce Award. The project that won gold was the case ‘The Nutcracker comes to life at Garten Shopping’s Christmas with the Bolshoi Theatre School Brazil’, from the ‘Campaigns and Christmas’ category. The holiday was celebrated in an unprecedented way at Garten Shopping in partnership with the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil to present “The Nutcracker”. The choice of this traditional and thematically Christmas-themed ballet strengthened Joinville’s cultural identity as the “City of Dance” and the collaboration with the only extension of the famous theater outside Russia highlighted the development’s commitment to artistic excellence and cultural education. The Bolshoi Theatre School Brazil’s performance was a first in a shopping center and served to attract a diverse and engaged audience.
The company Almeida Junior won gold in the Events and Promotions category of the Abrasce 2023 Awards.
The project awarded gold was ‘Garten Shopping becomes a fashion Innovation hub, with Startup Weekend Fashion Tech event’. The action brought together fashion and technology, aiming to encourage entrepreneurial culture and create new businesses in the fashion tech vertical in Joinville. The event’s distinguishing feature was its location, a shopping center, which enabled direct connection between the solutions developed, fashion and retail market owners and the consumer. The event saw the creation of 14 innovative projects in a period of just 54 hours and the participation of around 150 people.
Our dedication to social responsibility stood out in the “social” Category with the inspiring case: “Inclusion on the Norte Fashion Way catwalk: a fashion show for the blind to ‘see'”.
Inclusion won the Norte Shopping catwalk. With a Summer Collection full of colors, we decided to expand this experience for blind and visually impaired people. This idea was inspired by the See Colors project, a program developed exclusively for blind people to identify colors, through a tactile code printed on labels or on the clothes themselves. It was the first time that a shopping mall in the country used See Color labels in looks created for the event.
In addition to using See Color labels and creating a special lounge designed to explain the technology, we invited blind people to parade on the event’s catwalk and use the audio description technique for the audience.
With innovative actions on raising autism awareness, Almeida Junior was one of the winners in the 2022 Abrasce Awards from the Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers, in the People Management category
